With all of those batteries, the thing has to handle like a pig compared to other models. Hopefully the non-prototype gives better numbers cause a Tesla owns this. Still neat though.

its a step in the right direction though. i'd rather drive this over a prius any day. they are working on a lighter version. battery technology is getting better all the time as well. ruf used the same electric motor that was used in the hybrid bus i helped design. all the torque is available immediately. when we did our testing in an old steel school bus, if you floored it from a stand still it would knock any standing passengers down. its quite fun. of course they programmed it so it wouldn't do that anymore but it was fun while it lasted.

we talked about CAI and better flowing exhausts... our kids will be talking about cooler operating battery processors and batteries with better discharge rates and coils on the electric motors. Simply amazing how fast technology is moving!!!

I know this seems heavy as hell, but in two years the batteries used to power this will be light as a regular engine.

Just think, in 5-10 years we'll be robbing the electric drivetrain from a mk8 golf and putting it into your caddy.  ;D Times change. It used to be traction bars, x pipes off of hooker headers, single plane high rise manifolds with a holley double pumper. Now it's coilovers, intakes, chips, downpipes and exhaust. Who knows what's next. Maybe custom winds on the armature and larger capacitors with zero resistance wiring leads.

I'm down for all that stuff, especially if it looks like that Ruf.
