I always wanted to take a 914 and shoe horn in a 215 cu in v8 out of an old Buick or Landrover. A stupid light v8 with high revs and a little head work would make an AWESOME little fun car. One of these days I'll have funds for useless little projects.

Only in the sense that it's a v8 in a 914. The Buick/Landrover engine is all aluminum and weighs half as much as the chevy small block. It also has a smaller footprint so I don't have to cut up the car to make it fit. Also, I am not going to make it some bastard child created from a ricey Honda owner and a mullet wearing Camaro driver. The 215 might have been created in Detroit, but it was shipped over to the UK after 2 years and has been there since the mid 60's, so it's not really "Detroit Iron".

There was a guy not too long ago that put a 928 GTS v8 into a 914

i thought it was pretty cool, because makes 300hp and is a alum v8, but also has a cock ton more torque than the flat six can or will make
