Actually, I just turned in a Supercharged Sport last year...lemon law. POS!!!
Yeah.... they are out there.... but so are Lemon VW's, Audis, Fords, and yes Matt.... even Titans....
The thing that gets me with internet reviews (which BTW disspells all internet genius intellect IMO) is that 9 out of 10 reviews are not happy with the product.
Think about it.... if you are the consumer, and you buy a product that you end up being very happy about, does it cross your mind to sit down and write about it, so people you don't know can read about your luck? Not likely.... You will most likely pass your feelings towards the product on to close friends and family, but you will most likely not give two shits about writing an internet review about it....
Now.... put the shoe on the other foot....
If you buy a prouct and end up feeling like you got ripped off, and you have a sore asshole in the end, you will most likely try to tell EVERYONE in the world, as you are attempting to give it back to the manufacturer. You want everyone and thier mother (including all of these internet supergeniuses) to know what a shitty product that particular manufacturer is offering in a hope that they won't buy it for themselves, and that they might spread the same word around. In the end, you just go home with a tiny bit of satisfaction knowing that the review you wrote on peoplewholikec
ars.com about your Range Rover might deter 2.7 people away from buying a Range Rover....
Speaking of Ranger Rover specifically, when I was coming back stateside from the desert, I was looking at the Range Rover HSE Sport as a potential new vehicle. I did my internet research and when I read a fair amount of negative reviews, I gave my good friend back here in MD a call. Andy is a mastertech who is certified for VW, Audi, Porsche and Range Rover.... He told me that in the 80's and 90's he had plenty of work available, but since the late 90's and early 2000's, the reliability on the trucks had really come a long ways... It's still not a Honda, but just like VW, when the mkIII's and mkIV's were plagued with all kinds of horrible issues, the mkV and VI's are much better.
I try not to base comments or advice off of shit I read on the internet, because a good handful of that shit is exactly that.... shit. When you can say something these days, and it is based off of personal experiences, or first hand conversations with people that have had those personal experinces themselves, it really is worth alot more than anything that has been posted online....
Anyways.... it is drill weekend, and I have spent all day looking at a wall trying to keep myself occupied.... Sorry for the novel...
Please.... resume posting pictures of black cars....
