Ok so wustefest coming up im planning on some suspension for the R. (I get the rabbit back in a week unless my friends brother takes forever finding a car.) The question im running into is who the hell do i go through? so many choices i figure id let the mob speak to see their take on it....

Im gauging these:

H&R Coils and Bilstein Shocks
PSS9's
H&R coilovers
FK Coilovers.

and any other good candidates that come recomended...

Coil overs all the way. I like FKs for what you get with the price. Good ride, decent handling, and the ability to go stupid low with them. The Bilstien PSS9s and H&Rs are generally thought of as better built than FKs. I never cared enough to find out for myself.

It depends on what you're wanting out of the car.  If you're wanting to go low as shit, go with the fk. If you're not as concerned about being slammed and more concerned about having bump/damping adjustability and the better spring rates for awesome handling, go with the PSS9s.

The better FK coils jave dampening adjustability. That is what I had on my MK4, and as of right now it has over 100K JUST on the FKs!  The only issue I ever had was the rear threaded part cross threading, they sent me a new part next day mail.   I bought mine from AMI motorsports.
