digifant help questions...
« on: March 10, 2010, 10:27:34 PM »

DigiII

forgive me, i only have entirely discovered how vw/audi wiring diagrams work this evening... anyway, i cant figure out that these two wires do or where they go...

this is t1x i believe... i think i have all the other's figured out

i want to turn digi (along with the fuel pump) on with a toggle switch. from what i understand, i can provide power to T6c/4 and T6c/3. the fuel pump is activated by T6c/2, and T6c/5 is power to the injectors.

According to the PDF I have, pin 16 and 20 off of the ECU don't go to anything. I'll dig through my Bentley later and find out for sure, but that PDF has proven to be accurate so far. Where does that wire physically trace to? Does it go to the CE2 fuse box? Tracing it can probably shed more light on things.

i dont know where it goes because i didnt pull this harness, it's what goes up in the raintray by the digifant ecu and the ignition module. as far as i can tell, it just comes from the pcm to that connector and dies, like the female end of the connector only has 4 wires in it... that green one to the left has a gonnector at the end of it. tiny wire, huge connector which would indicate to me that it goes to SOMETHING but i dont know what :banghead:

It looks like they just terminate into some type of test plug. If you had the other end of that plug you'd know for sure on the pin 20. Just let those dangle while you get the car up and running, or ask on Vortex. Of coarse, most people will just tell you to convert to CE2 wiring, or ditch the Digifant and either go stand alone or CIS.

Pin 16 - input from A/C

Pin 20 - goes to diagnostic switch

T6c/4 is power for the ECU. Whatever you do don't toggle switch the pump or injectors, your asking for trouble!
