I watched "Old Boy" the other night.  Weird and crazy.  I loved it.  I work with this dude that's was a film major.  He's always telling me about these badass movies.  Old Boy is sweet.

I watched "Forbidden Kingdom" the other day.  Pretty good movie if you are into the cheesy kung-fu genre.  I'm actually not, but I still liked it.

I really have to disagree with you. Probably the worst movie I've seen thus far this year...

The "I am legend" title that the theatrical version explains has nothing to do with why the original work is titled "I am legend".  Read the book.  It's not very long and 100 times better than the movie (the ending anyway).

I didn't realize it was based on a book. I'll have to check it out.

It's kind of like a 3rd remake.
In 1964, Vincent Price starred in "The Last Man on Earth" which is very similar, but the characters have different names and the background is somewhat different.
It was also done as "Omega Man" with Charlton Heston in 1971 which does follow the same characters and storyline as "I Am Legend".

i've recently seen:

there will be blood - imho this movie is fucking awesome.  loved the music.  loved the story.  loved the characters.  kind of long and slow and weird but very good film.

indiana jones - entertaining.  plot was a bit disappointing but i still liked it and would probably see it again but i'm a major dr. jones fan.

get smart - enteraining.  i love steve carrel.  guy is freakin hilarious.  anne hathaway is hot.  i thought it was a pretty good movie.

reservation road - story about dude who commits a hit and run.  sad and dramatic but good film.

btw forbidden kingdom sounds like the title for a porn.

Saw "The Love Guru" last night.

I thought it was kind of Meh.  Not Mike Myer's greatest performance I must say.  There were definitely some funny parts, but overall I wasn't fully impressed.  It also felt to me that he is starting to recycle jokes too much.  How many times can you use Verne Troyer in a movie and make fun of him being small?

Justin Timberlake played Jacques "Le Coq" Grande quite well.  I also enjoyed the cameo by Rob Blake.  Even if he doesn't play for the Av's anymore.  Stephen Colbert and Jim Gaffigan were excellent as well as the hockey announcers.

fools gold: i actually really liked this movie.  super entertaining.  no too chick-flickish.  lots of reggae.  overall fun movie to watch.

I saw Wanted and I thought it was alright. Not too bad, but not too good either.

Saw Hancock this afternoon.

'twas OK.  I had somewhat low expectations from what i had heard.  Also took a little while to get started.  The movie is only about an hour and a half and after the first hour, it seemed like not much had happened.  They stuffed a lot of movie into the last 30mins or so.

Also, Charlize Theron is hot.  I've always been kind of 'on the fence' with here, but I enjoyed looking at her in this movie 8)

It is true though that you if you've seen the previews, you've pretty much seen the best parts of the movie, except for a somewhat unexpected twist that leads into the last 30mins I mentioned above.

Saw Angels and Demons over the weekend and thought it was pretty good. It's been about 5 or so years since I read the book, so it helps that I don't remember a whole lot of it. Overall, pretty enjoyable.
