Other than the name.. I really don't know what there isn't to like about this car.
It's based on a European Vauxhall concept car
2.0 Turbo
260hp/260tq stock
RWD
etc...
I like it

It is based on the speedster, and there is some nut case that has stuffed a V-8 in there... I still cannot find the pics, but I saw it on Speed channel a few weeks ago. I think it was in AUstralia.

Here is the speedster for those who never saw it:

Here are the V-8 Guys
They're also stuffing V-8's into the Pontiac Solstice (same car better styling)

If the Solstice were offered with the Sky's turbo motor that would be a neat little car.

I agree, not really a huge fan of the Sky's look.

I'm sure the Solstice will get the turbo mill sooner than later.

You mean besides the fact that it is a GM product?

I would have SERIOUS issues paying close to 30k for a saturn, or a pontiac for that matter.

It will.  It will be called the Solstice GXP.  The Sky I believe has the same two engine options, the base model with the 170HP unit and the Red Line with the 260HP Turbo.  No V-6 option that I've seen or heard about.

I haven't seen anything recently like that.  Just seems unecessary to me.  Unless the V-6 would be more like 300HP and the top model, but that seems overkill.  If it were to slot between the 170HP and 260HP models, it seems just a detuned turbo version would work and be much less complicated and cheaper.

I remember reading early on that GM was denying that the Solstice would get the Turbo, and that it was going to get a V6. Then some turbo test-mules (maybe Sky mules) were spotted, and a couple weeks later GM changed their tune to the whole "maybe-it'll-get-one, we're-not-ruling-it-out" song and dance.

The americans have come along way with quality... its just their imagination that tends to lack... well, and they're inablility to use quality materials in their interior construction.

the redline is the turbocharged one... Robin wants one real bad and she may end up with one if the financial gods favor us when it comes out

there was a full feature on the v8 solstice in hot rod magazine.  they do a lot of custom body work on the car and it is amazing.
